I want to start by noting that Shawn and I (Shawn especially) aren’t zoo people, and, after watching Blackfish a few years ago, our anti-zoo (and obviously SeaWorld) opinions deepened.
On a happier, more Friyay-ish note, the Central Park Zoo is park of the Wildlife Conservation Society and an ethical way to let my daughter see tiny penguins and sea lions! The zoo, like Central Park, is beautiful, historic, and sells hot dogs. Other pluses, you can hit everything in the main zoo and the children’s petting zoo (Juliette’s favorite animal is a goat!) in about two hours including a 15 minute 4D (meaning you get wet) Ice Age movie that Juliette loved. And…afterwards you are in Central Park and a 10 minute walk to Heckscher Playground and the Central Park Carousel, which is over 100 years old (thinking about that truly adds an extra thrill when riding).
We are so lucky to live in New York City with so many new and amazing parks for kids, but going old school once in a while is just as fun and has an added charm! Plus, tiny penguins (they do the feedings at 10am) are impossible to beat.

Most of my maternity clothes this time around have certainly been on on the less-than-$40-end and this dress is no exception at $33, and I love this dress so much I also bought it in yellow.
