Shawn
and I are proud members of the Prospect Heights CSA, although he is more
excited about eating veggies than I am. Basically we pay into a community farm
and get our “shares” of what the farm grows. It’s all fun and games until we
have 20 tomatoes and 12 ears of corn. We have been getting creative with our
veggies and made whole wheat pizza the other night. Full disclosure: I don’t
recommend the whole wheat part. The taste IS NOT worth whatever health benefits
you’re getting. This is coming from someone who has had more cavities than AugustGloop.

The
recipe sorta goes like this:
recipe sorta goes like this:
Buy some Trader Joe brand dough (or pick it up from your favorite pizza place) |
Put some bling on your man. |
Cut garlic in half the long way, drizzle with olive oil and salt + pepper. Roast @ 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or until is sort of brown. The more you roast the sweeter the flavor. |
Slice tomatoes, mozzerella, and any other veggies you’d like and place them on the pizza. |
Bake pizze @350 for about 20 minutes. I like to make sure the middle is squishy and put the whole thing on broil for an extra 2 minutes. Shawn puts cornmeal on the crust and oil oil on the edges. |
Enjoy with big glasses of red wine and a hot guy wearing a necklace. |
I didn't agree to any necklace photos on this blog.
