There’s nothing I love more than a brand new sweater, pair of jeans, pair of shoes, pair of earrings… Except my love for newness is only surpassed by my love for favorite wardrobe staples. I have a few things that are the comfort food version of getting dressed – and just do the trick when I don’t know what to wear or really don’t feel like putting the effort into styling something new.

The Adidas Superstars are so so sooo comfy and go with everything from waxed jeans to sundresses. Love. Also I need a new pair because mine are crazy-dirty. |

My Stuart Weitzman ‘Lowland’ over-the-knee boots are comfy, warm, and look great with anything. I’ve work them with everything from a sweatshirt dress to a long-sleeve full-sequin mini dress. Pricey, but they’ve stayed in great shape and I’m dying to get them in another color. |

J. Crew’s Jenna Lyons declares that leopard is a neutral and I couldn’t agree more. I’m on my second leopard coat over the course of 8 years, and I promise it looks as good with Vans and jeans during the day as it does with full-blown-fancy at night. I really like this one from H&M and its only $79! |

I bought myself an all-navy large Longchamp Le Pliage in leiu of a diaper bag right before having Juliette. It isn’t the flashiest handbag, but I love that it’s lightweight and can look really chic when it’s all zipped up (it never is). Most importantly I can fit EVERYTHING in it! |

I have two J. Crew blazers in navy and grey, and I clearly need this one in white. I wear them to work, interviews, to weddings over my wedding frock, and even over my shoulders for date nights. They have a shrunken fit and the collar always stays up if that’s where you want it (I do.). |
