Tulum Babymoon Travel Diary

Shawn takes a boys-only ski trip every year, and the deal is he gets to to drink red wine in a hot tub with a bunch of dudes for a week if I get the smallest trip to Mexico a few weeks later. This year was no different, and we decided on Tulum as we heard it’s considered the “Brooklyn of Mexico”, what could be better for a babymoon?
This proved to be 100% true. Natural juice bars, yoga, beards, and eclectic restaurants with top-notch decor were aplenty. We loved it and I was able to indulge in nachos and limonadas without feeling too bad about having to skip the margaritas. I wanted to share a few tips and favorite hotspots that made our trip so insanely lovely.

I wore this cover up about every day, from ASOS

Our daily breakfast from the restaurant at La Posada Margherita Tulum.
The view from our room at Zamas beach hotel.
An adorable cave swimmer at Cenote Dos Ojos (two eyes!).
Swimsuit from Victoria’s Secret PINK.
Shopping a 30-second walk from the beach. Mr. Blackbird was my favorite store, and had a beautiful rose gold choker I had to bring back to the U.S.
Our 2nd trip to Mexico making the drive to Akumal for the beach lunch at La Buena Vida.
That cover up again and my daily hat from Forever 21, ice cream from Akumal’s Turtle Bay Cafe

Until next year Tulum!

  1. Your trip looks amazing! What a gorgeous beach photo, and yummy looking breakfast spread from La Posada Margherita. I had no idea Mexico had coatis–I thought they only existed in Argentina. They're soo cute!
