Remember when I did that insanely informational and inspiring post on Birkenstocks? Well a month and a half later I finally got my
act together and bought a shiny silver pair from Shoe Market in Williamsburg.
This was no “impulse” buy. I searched both brick and mortar and Google Shopping
high and low for a size 38. For a week straight I came up with nada. Until last

When asking the virtuous Show Market employee about my size
in the sliver, I waited for her to look at me like I had asked for a signed
copy of Huckleberry Finn. Instead she
said, “sure”.
