Honorable Mentions

My
mom and I have always had a lot in common: our olive-toned skin, appreciation
for fine China patterns, being a fab hostess, literature written by female
authors, our love of black licorice-flavored anything, etc. My mom was able to
come to NYC last weekend all by herself (no dads or little sisters allowed),
and we were able to do truly do things that are very “Linda and Hollyn”. We
went through the cookbooks at the Plaza Food Hall, admired the holiday lights
on 5th Avenue, devoured a cheese plate and wine as dinner at
Barbounia, decided we’d rather walk through Central Park in the rain than wait
to get into the Frick, and did an equal amount of real/window shopping. Here
are a few of our favorite moments from the weekend.

Rockefeller Plaza is ready for Christmas, and tourists.
My mom enjoying her Brooklyn daughters which includes Paige of course.

I always recommend the French toast.

Italian food is usually a necessary dining choice for NYC tourists, my mom included. Grandma’s Ragu at Cent’Anni is addicting and truly glows in this photo.
