Brunch Party, Babies Galore, VMA’s in BK

love to have parties, Shawn does not. This is because Shawn does the bulk of
the cleaning and cooking and I make sure everyone who walks in gets a drink while freshening up my own.

Despite
all this we have house parties quite often, and by house party I mean we have
about 15 over for a little bit of food and an ample amount of booze.

Last
weekend we did a brunchy thing because day drinking is something you do when
you are married and still enjoy the joys of having more than 5 drinks but
really can’t do so after 10:00pm, or maybe that’s just me?

After taking a post-mimosa nap Shawn and I wandered around the VMA setup in our jammies before each having a glass of wine at Vanderbilt and heading to bed.
We also had kids under the age of 2 at our house on both Saturday and Sunday. Seeing friends with kids and me not recognizing half the acts at the VMA’s was definitively a “you’re old!” reminder.

Shawn’s take: Shawn loves babies and brunch and ice cream and when my friends cuddle with him! Of course! And that we have a dishwasher!
