Work Wednesdays: Creating A Morning Schedule

Dress //  old, similar here Ann Taylor, Shoes // Nine West, Juliette’s Dress // Old Navy
We made sure Juliette got on a sleep schedule by four months old (rough, but 100% worth it!) and used the advice of 12 Hours Sleep by 12 Weeks, The Content Little Baby, and Bringing Up Bebe.
She goes to bed at 7:30 pm (unless we are having “family party time” at happy hour – and in that case everyone is ready for bed by 8:30) and wakes up usually at 7:30am. This has always been nice, but I truly appreciate her schedule now being back at work as I can better structure my morning and with any luck be in my desk at work by 9:00am on the dot (in case my boss is reading this!)
My Morning Schedule:
6:30: Alarm
6:35: Out of bed
6:45-7:30: Workout in the living room, I get the will power to do this because this is when I catch up on my low-brow TV (no offense Bethanny Frankel)
7:30-7:45 Playtime with Juliette and when Shawn gets to shower
7:45-8:15 Shower and get ready, and try to have Juliette play in the hallway so I can interact with her while all this is happening
Sure, I only have 15 quality minutes with my daughter before leaving all day long, but they are quality and aren’t spend rushing around trying to do something else.
Of course this is all way I strive for every morning, and it usually works out – but of course there are days when the nanny shows up and I have yet to get dressed and I’m holding a baby in one hand in a tube of mascara in the other…
Sometimes its hard, but its just important for me to take care of myself as it is to take care of Juliette, I just wish my hair would show that more often 🙂
