Best of the Best Discount Shopping Websites

Once
in a blue moon I treat myself to something “fancy”, such as boots that cost
more than $200, a lil’ microdermabrasion, J.Crew cashmere, handmade pillow
cases, a large block of parmigiano reggiano, etc. These “treats” are, unfortunately,
a rarity. Living in New York City is expensive, living lux is almost impossible.
But that doesn’t mean I stop or have even relaxed a bit on my shopping “hobby”.
I just shop for discounts, knockoffs of knockoffs, and, of course, at Forever
21. One day I’ll buy real leather pants, a real fur something-or-other and
possibly even a real Celine bag. For now, here are my favorite shopping sites
along with some faux-lux items I wouldn’t mind owning.
The “King” of forever cheapies. This “boho babe” sweater is a mere $47.80, so who cares if you (or a girlfriend) spills a lil’ Cabernet on it?
Great for girly girls who love party dresses and sparkly shoes, so…me. This pink maxi is looks pricey and is only $48.
They aren’t the bottom-of-the-barrel cheapest, but they are certainly the edgiest, in a 2005 Avril Lavigne meets 2013’s Ashley Tisdale sort of way. This outfit is the coolest and the skirt is only $68.
A new favorite site which is definitely underrated. This red coat is adorable, and it’s priced at about what lunch for two (without wine but with Diet Coke) costs.
5. ASOS
The Asos-brand items are the best deals, and are usually the coolest items on the site. I would love this jumpsuit for holiday parties, which looks like it could double as PJ’s in case I have few too many eggnogtinis.
